Teachers explained many science facts, did experiments and helped the students to better understand the facts about their environment.
The students had discussions about the objectives prior to the field trip and the experiments and observations helped reinforce their knowledge.
Kindergarten, preschool and first grade students learnt about weather and seasons, how to be responsible towards nature and how to conserve it.
Second grade and third grade students did experiments on light and shadows and the changes in nature in autumn and what causes them.
Third grade students discussed different kinds of plants, vertebrates and invertebrates, small animals living in soil, evergreen trees and also
pollutions in the environment that has lead to the migration of many birds and animals.
However, it wasn’t all science and experiments! Students had their healthy snacks and played together and with their teachers. At the end of the trip
the students with the help of their teachers cleaned up and learnt about the importance of conservation and caring for the environment.
